Denver’s own Running of the Bulls

In honor of the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, you will attempt to outrun members of the Rocky Mountain RollerGirls team wielding foam ball bats. 

It will be a day of celebration for those who are able to escape the onslaught of the Rocky Mountain RollerGirls, and will raise money for Tennyson Center for Children, who’s aim is to “work with children, youth, and their families to overcome a variety of life crises, including abuse and neglect.”

Post race festivities will include music, food, drinks, dancing, and general celebration. Book your calendars now for July 9th, 2011 at 9am. Register today!

I just bet you woke up this morning thinking “I need a new skill set. Something different to put on my resume, but what? Hmm…Bookbinding!” Well I am glad that we think along the same lines because this week The Denver Bookbinding Company (apparently Denver’s oldest bookbinding company) is inviting you to come to their workshop, take a tour and learn how the magic happens. For a flat $15 you will be given the supplies, resources and instruction to make your own book. You will leave with a lovingly crafted book that you can show off to all those suckers that actually went to work instead of learning a classic craft. Go you.
